Apex Plus GTX | The perfect balance of technicality and performance

Designed for winter alpine expedition, the APEX PLUS GTX from Kayland is a concentrate of pure technology and solutions to deliver a compact, precise and reliable footwear, in any situation. Ideal for winter mountaineering, glaciers, extreme conditions, on steep and uneven terrains. Ideal with automatic crampons, it offers a superior protection thanks to integrated gaiter.
The upper is built with durable microfiber and reinforced synthetic fabric, ripstop and anti-abrasion, the top of the class for concreteness and sturdiness. The extended lacing system allows a custom fit, the high profile of integrated gaiter is a barrier against snow and water infiltrations, and it is supercharged by Gore-Tex® Jazz membrane; the high cut boot provides easy fitting anyway, with the double loop on top of the gaiter. The all around rubber rand adds more protection from rocks and spikes to a really solid structure. The upper is powered by a Gore-Tex® Insulated Comfort lining, that provides waterproofness to the boot and creates an optimal internal micro-climate.
The sole package in a sheer concentrate of technology: the fiberglass and aluminium footbed gives the right amount of rigidity for a safe and precise use of crampons, whilst the dual density Smart PU wedge keeps the same shock absorbing and supporting performances even at low temperatures. The TPU inserts on heel and toe are built with resistant material and allow an easy hooking with crampons. The Vibram® Teton outsole is the benchmark for alpine world, with its durability, adherence degree and easy selfcleaning of lugs from snow, mud and debris.
