DAVID BOUFFARD WINS SILVER MEDAL | At UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup in Denver

An exciting result was obtained by our David Bouffard, bringing Kayland to the podium of the Ice Climbing World Cup thanks to the second place obtained in the Speed men race at the stage of Denver, last weekend.

With the brand new Ice Dragon on his feet, David managed to get on the podium for the first time in his career, thanks to continuous improvements in time that saw him prevail, once he reached the semi-final, for only 5 cents of a second on his opponent from Russia.

In the final, despite the hard work, the strong Canadian athlete surrendered to the Russian star Kuzovlev, one of the protagonists of this season of the UIAA World Cup, reaching however for the first time in his career the podium.

With this feat, David climbs up to eighth place in the overall standings of the Cup, and re-launches his ambitions for the World Championships, scheduled from 8 to 10 March in Kirov, Russia. Good luck from Kayland, David!
