IMPACT GTX | Lightweight and comfort for your hikes
Dealing with medium-high mountain paths and itineraries, excursions on mixed terrain with undergrowth and non-binding rock, with various surfaces, has always been a difficult task to complete; for this reason, Kayland has studied a light and performing shoe, which guarantees a high degree of comfort even with prolonged use, thanks to the particular construction and to solutions deriving from the use of specific lasts and materials.
We are talking about Impact GTX, a hiking boot made with the special production technology of direct injecting the sole on the upper, a process that cement the two parts in a perfect way, maintaining an optimal relationship between stability and lightness of the shoe, ideal condition to get versatile performances on a multitude of tracks and mountain routes.
The upper is made with a skilful mix of suede leather, resistant and wrapping, and technical inserts in microfiber, thus giving a more modern and decisive look. The last, specific for hiking activity, provides an adequate space for the foot, without constraints or pressure points, and this allows an easy fit customization with the extended lacing system. The shaped collar supports the ankle, thanks to the anatomical padding.
The sole block is precisely injected directly onto the upper, using a specific polyurethane to provide cushioning, stability and durability. Coupled to the wedge, the Vibram® New Makalu outsole, which thanks to the particular design of the lugs and the sticky compound, ensures excellent traction and grip on all types of surfaces, even in case of rough and uncomfortable support; finally, the sculpting is self-cleaning, in fact eliminates debris and mud accumulated during the walk.
