SEB BOUIN ON THE SILENCE | The hardest route in the world

Seb Bouin sent us some words after his summer adventure on the "Silence" route in Norway.

Here it is.

Silence 9c - 5.15 d

After making the first repetition of "Move" (9b / +), in the Flatanger cave in Norway, I had the crazy idea of taking a look at the Silence, the most difficult road in the world.

Silence is a notoriously difficult climbing route located in the Hanshelleren Cave in Flatanger, Norway. As of March 2019, it is considered to be the hardest route ever climbed, and the only route in the world to have a proposed rating of 9c (5.15d).

I tried just a few steps but nothing challenging, I was not able to conclude any section, too difficult at the moment. But it was a great opportunity to see what the hardest climbing route in the world is like.

Along the way there is no hook!

Maybe one day I'll come back to face this incredible climb.
