Vertex Mid GTX is a boot developed by Kayland to meet the demands of advanced climbers and hikers, searching a footwear ideal for technical approach, climbing and via ferrata, but at the same time suitable also to be used for backpacking itineraries and hiking, thanks to the versatility and adaptability of materials and construction.
Made with a tubular construction that ensures a precise and wrapping technical fit, Vertex Mid GTX has an upper in suede leather and synthetic fabric, with a rubber reinforcement on the toe box for precision when climbing and protection from rock spikes and obstacles. The lacing is extended up to the tip to allow a customized technical fit. Comfortable pulls on the tongue and on the heel to speed up wearing. The Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane is waterproof and breathable, allowing the use of this boot over four seasons.
The sole package is designed for technical approach, with a microporous wedge which performs the function of absorbing impacts with the ground and giving excellent stability to the shoe even in uncomfortable conditions, while maintaining an excellent degree of lightness. The Vibram Gravity outsole, with Megagrip and Idrogrip compounds, is perfect for crossover use, guarantees perfect adhesion on walls and mixed terrains, and perfect traction on screes and underwood thanks to the particular design of the lugs.
